Position Overview

Canada Goose is seeking a strategic and dynamic leader to serve as Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). This high-impact role offers direct visibility to the Executive Team and plays a critical role in shaping and driving the company’s financial strategy and decision-making. The VP of FP&A will lead Canada Goose’s Integrated Business Planning—spanning long-term planning, annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and business reviews.

You’ll collaborate with global stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, and Operations teams to provide clear, data-driven insights and build a strong culture of finance business partnership. This role is ideal for a forward-thinking finance executive passionate about influencing business outcomes and supporting sustainable growth.

What You'll Do

Strategic Planning & Financial Leadership

  • Lead all global financial planning and analysis activities to support a fast-paced, growing organization.
  • Design and manage the company’s long-range planning and annual budgeting process.
  • Drive monthly and quarterly forecasting processes, providing timely insights on financial performance.
  • Partner with senior leadership to develop strategic business cases, capital allocation frameworks, and pricing strategies.

Financial Reporting & Business Performance

  • Deliver executive-level reporting and presentations for internal stakeholders and the Board of Directors.
  • Monitor and evaluate key business drivers and trends to provide actionable recommendations.
  • Ensure alignment of financial processes with internal control and compliance frameworks.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Accounting, Financial Reporting, Regional Finance, and Supply Chain Finance to drive integrated planning efforts.
  • Act as a key business partner to Commercial teams (Sales, Marketing, Consumer Insights), offering insight into channel and product profitability.
  • Collaborate on S&OP processes to ensure alignment between operations and financial targets.

Commercial & Operational Finance

  • Develop financial models and KPIs to support product innovation, marketing investments, and customer insights.
  • Provide guidance on product costing, manufacturing analysis, and margin optimization.
  • Support pricing and portfolio strategies aligned with long-term company goals.

Capital & Treasury Support

  • Work with Treasury on cash flow forecasting and financing activities.
  • Support investor relations and corporate strategy with financial insights to inform market guidance and communication.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing FP&A team, fostering growth, development, and collaboration.
  • Build strong succession planning and capability-building initiatives within the finance function.

Let's Talk About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA/CFA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally in the CPG or Retail sector.
  • International business exposure and experience working across global teams is an asset.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong foundation in financial modeling and analytics.
  • Proficient in financial systems and tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Anaplan, Hyperion).
  • Demonstrated experience building strong cross-functional relationships and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident communicator with experience presenting to executive leadership.
