Your contribution!

Reporting to the Controller - Operational Sites Accounting, you will analyze the results of operational sites in the hydroelectric, wind and solar power sectors. Your duties will include analyzing operating results, preparing financial statements and various financial analyses. You will support the controller and asset managers in certain projects and ensure the accuracy of financial statements. You will also contribute to improving accounting processes and maintaining rigorous internal controls.

Your day-to-day!

  • Develop, implement and maintain operational accounting processes;
  • Oversee and participate in the completion of all tasks required to ensure the integrity of financial information for assigned operational sites;
  • Prepare detailed analyses to ensure the financial and operational efficiency of assigned operational sites;
  • Prepare financial statements for operational sites and affiliated companies;
  • Present monthly budget follow-ups to asset managers;
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly presentations to partners;
  • Supervise the work of intermediary accountants and accountants in the operational accounting team;
  • Participate in the continuous improvement process of operational accounting;
  • Monitor and support procurement and payments to ensure timely processing;
  • Ensure and coordinate the automation and efficiency improvement of operational control in the ERP system in collaboration with the IT team;
  • Support the budgeting process of operational sites in collaboration with asset managers;
  • Prepare operational accounting sections of audit files;
  • Prepare operational accounting sections for various stakeholders (tax, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, etc.);
  • Establish and maintain rigorous internal controls
  • Develop, improve and maintain internal processes as well as monthly and quarterly reports;
  • Participate in special mandates;


Your skills, our requirements!

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar position
  • CPA designation
  • Relevant experience in a similar position
  • Experience in accounting for a multi-entity, multi-project structure
  • Experience in managing multiple currencies an asset
  • Experience in a public company, an asset
  • Bilingualism (French and English, both spoken and written) required to ensure collaboration with various stakeholders outside Quebec on a recurring basis.
  • Bilingualism (French and English, written and spoken) is required to ensure collaboration with different stakeholders outside of Québec on a regular basis.

  • The position can be based in the company's Longueuil (Quebec) headquarters
  • This position is a P3 level.
