Job Purpose

Responsible to provide assistance to Inventory Control Manager creating and maintaining daily production schedules for the operation.

Duties And Responsibilities

The associate’s primary functions and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Responsible for scheduling the product flow throughout the manufacturing process.
  • 3-4 week look ahead – schedule upstream and downstream production, routine maintenance (PM’s/Cal’s), and site projects as applicable with event owners and impacted groups.
  • Work closely with purchasing team to refine MRP process.
  • Issue BOM 48 hours in advance of production.
  • Adjust schedule and review with Sr. Scheduler to ensure you are meeting changing needs (e.g., equipment breakdowns, trials, changeovers, material shortages)
  • Determine appropriate batch size and production version to be utilized on all process orders.
  • Responsible for scheduling the product flow throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Communicate and provide weekly production reports to stakeholders to ensure timely product flow.
  • Ensure all GMP documentation/ cleaning requests are completed proactively to align with upstream / downstream production planning and review with Sr. Scheduler.
  • Co-ordinate overall manufacturing schedule development and create/publish schedule adherence reports as directed by Sr. Scheduler.
  • Align with cross-functional teams regarding all scheduling activities.
  • Work with production team in issuing WIP BOMs as needed.
  • Schedule for all plants as directed by Sr. Scheduler
  • Perform other assigned duties.
  • Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.
  • Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management
  • Previous experience as a production scheduler in food manufacturing is considered an asset
  • ERP experience highly desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Proven ability to work cross functionally.
  • Problem solver with a disposition toward action.
