Who are we looking for?

Our Engineering Design Organization is looking for a Civil Site Servicing – Documentation Technician ready to join one of our Waterloo, Mississauga, Whitby offices. In this role, you’ll be part of the Civil team working on municipal infrastructure and site servicing projects such as site grading, site servicing and piping, road reconstruction, trenchless rehabilitation of pipelines, stormwater, wastewater collection and water transmission distribution projects .

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Responsible for preparing and drawing detailed design drawings
  • Execute design calculations for sanitary sewers, storm sewers and watermains
  • Assist with preparation of technical memorandum's, letters and reports
  • Developing design/construction documents and specifications
  • Attend and participate in client/team progress meetings including preparation of meeting records

What you will bring to the team:

  • Diploma in civil engineering from an accredited post-secondary educational institution or equivalent (0 – 2 years).
  • High proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D; familiarity with Microstation is an asset;
  • Experience with inspection, design, preparing contract documents, and contract administration support considered an asset
  • Proven verbal and written English communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Committed team player
  • Must have a valid Ontario driver’s license
