Oncology Manager

On behalf of our healthcare client, Affinity Healthcare Solutions is looking for an Oncology Manager with a clinical background in oncology and significant leadership experience in the informatics/clinical information system implementation space. The ideal candidate will also have Cerner/Oracle Health-specific implementation experience.
Responsibilities:
• The ideal candidate will have a clinical background in oncology with significant leadership experience in the informatics/clinical information system implementation space. The ideal candidate will also have specific implementation experience with major clinical information systems.
• The organization is looking for a Manager, Oncology who will report to the Director of Oncology. They will lead a multidisciplinary team accountable for the adult oncology design, build, and implementation within the clinical information system. They will grow, mentor, and develop internal team members, ensuring their success in sustaining and supporting the application post-implementation.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years leadership positions in health care in addition to having clinically related practice or clinical application experience.
• Clinical designation preferred.
• Oracle Health adult oncology implementation experience preferred.
• Experience as a leader within a complex organization, enabling change and leading transformational projects and providing strategic advice to senior management
• Experience in working with patient care leaders and staff across a large organization.
• Knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks applicable to the practice of health professions in Canada
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task to meet tight deadlines
• Experience in engaging, mentoring, and empowering teams and stakeholders in a collaborative, participative manner to respond to the mission, vision, goals and objectives an organization
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills with ability to interpret statistical data and monitor quality and performance indicators and benchmarks.
• Strong interpersonal skills with high level of competence in both written and verbal communication.
• Understanding of clinical systems, IT tools and processes.
• Strong skills in project management
