Introduction

IBM Consulting is a leading provider of technology-led transformation solutions powered by hybrid cloud and AI. As a global system integrator for Microsoft Azure, IBM plays a crucial role in helping organizations implement, extend, and optimize Azure Data & AI solutions. The Azure Data & AI Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sales of Azure Data & AI solutions, building relationships, and expanding the market presence of IBM Consulting Services. This role requires a combination of sales expertise, technical knowledge, and strategic thinking to identify opportunities, nurture client relationships, and close deals.

Your Role And Responsibilities

  • Identify potential clients and industries that can benefit from Azure Data & AI solutions, including data analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven insights.
  • Develop campaigns, webinars, and events that generate leads and increase brand awareness.
  • Drive new business growth by generating net new business opportunities and acquiring new clients in new logos or new Lines of Business.
  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue targets and market share goals.
  • Prepare and present proposals, including pricing and contract negotiation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on Microsoft’s latest product updates, roadmaps, and IBM offerings.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and competitive landscape to inform sales strategy.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to present and articulate the value proposition of Azure Data & AI solutions and IBM offerings.

Bachelor's Degree

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

  • Growth mindset with speed and hunger to action and win.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working for Microsoft Partners.
  • 5+ years of technology consulting experience in Data & AI
  • Demonstrated expertise in consultative selling to C-suite level stakeholders at large, enterprise-level organizations.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft’s data and AI tooling, and experience in leveraging these technologies for business impact.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

  • Familiarity with Azure Data & AI offerings and industry trends.
  • Industry Specialization would be a plus.
  • Direct experience working with Microsoft, either as a partner or a client, is highly desirable.
