About The Role

As ATB’s next EFS Business Advisor, your primary focus will be proactively identifying, acquiring, and developing new business relationships, while also strategically nurturing and deepening these relationships for long-term value. You consistently strive to exceed targets by leveraging your strong financial expertise and networking abilities. You excel at building your professional brand to create impactful Centres of Influence (COI) that enhance financial well-being throughout Everyday Financial Services (EFS) and our communities. You expertly manage complex retail and business transactions, translating information into clear and tailored solutions for our clients.

Accountabilities

  • You actively drive a healthy pipeline of new entrepreneur and small business clients, while concurrently nurturing and expanding relationships with existing clients.
  • You are accountable for consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets by leveraging your comprehensive knowledge of finance, business management, and market trends to provide tailored solutions and strategic advice to clients.
  • You strengthen long-term client relationships by serving as a trusted advisor, proactively addressing their financial needs, and ensuring they have access to ATB’s full suite of products and digital banking services.
  • You translate annual sales targets into actionable plans and daily routines, consistently tracking progress and making adjustments as necessary to ensure success.
  • You cultivate your professional network to create impactful Centers of Influence (COI) that enhance ATB’s visibility within the business community, and drive new business leads.
  • You expertly manage complex retail and business banking transactions in all systems and platforms required.
  • You uphold ATB’s Risk Management policies and procedures, ensuring the integrity of all client interactions and transactions, while championing best practices and collaborative efforts within your team.
  • You consistently fulfill client needs by connecting them with the right ATB resources and services, maintaining a high level of client satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.
  • You hold yourself accountable to commitments, setting clear priorities and realistic timeframes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness in achieving your business development and sales goals.

Your Attributes

Skills, experience & requirements

  • You are highly motivated with a demonstrated ability to proactively identify, acquire, and develop new entrepreneur and small business relationships.
  • You possess strong networking abilities and have experience establishing influential Centers of Influence (COI) to build business.
  • You are a confident communicator, adapting your style to effectively convey complex information and build strong client trust.
  • You are detail-oriented and results-driven, with a focus on translating annual sales targets into actionable plans, consistently tracking progress, and ensuring successful outcomes.
  • You have expert knowledge of banking practices, financial acumen, and regulations, enabling you to confidently manage complex retail and business transactions.

Accreditation

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years experience in retail and/or business banking.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business and grow existing client relationships.
