Salary Range: $41.172 - $51.438 (Hourly); $72,534.77 - $90,620.90 (Annually)

What will you do?
- Provide input into developing branch and section templates, guidelines, procedures, workflows and tools for branch service delivery and improvements
- Provide support to each of the sections in the branch, especially Business Intelligence & Analytics and Service & Strategy, by helping to prepare for leadership and section meetings, and tracking/supporting upcoming projects
- Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes by analyzing information, identifying trends and common issues, and developing solutions, improvements and recommendations that ensure efficient, streamlined and effective processes
- Identify strategic issues that may affect the branch and research/provide recommendations for solutions
- Provide oversight and stewardship to ensure projects are completed on time, and within scope and budget
- Monitor and track progress related to strategies and initiatives, and follow-up as required
- Regularly review plans and prepare reports related to the progress on initiatives and outcomes identified in the plans
- Support and coordinate projects, initiatives and process improvements to achieve branch outcomes
- Partner with section stakeholders to ensure coordination and integration of activities within and across sections
- Support the development and analysis of Council reports, presentations, memos and correspondence across the branch, with Council and the public
- Ongoing relationship building with staff within the branch and across the corporation for strong coordination and integration of City programs and services
- Act as a branch champion, while participating on committees, teams and working groups
- University degree, including Commerce, Public Administration, Social Sciences or a related discipline
- A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in a combination of: strategic and operational business planning, working with corporate performance measures and risk registers, project management experience within a public sector environment would be beneficial
- Significant political savvy and the ability to work in a trusted environment
- Expertise in project management, continuous improvement principles, benchmarking and procedures for aligning project objectives with business plan goals
- Strong knowledge of primary and secondary research methodology, including design and implementation, data collection, and trend and results analysis and presentation
- Exceptional ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions, and to express complex ideas and concepts effectively and persuasively, both verbally and in writing
- Proven ability to communicate, persuade and negotiate, and to build consensus with people at varying levels
- Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, large-volume, deadline-driven environment
- Aptitude for effectively transferring ideas, concepts, and information into effective and efficient strategies
- Understanding of change management principles and practices
- Advanced communication skills and excellent presentation skills
- A future-focused and proactive approach to work (systems thinking)
- Demonstrated ability to function comfortably, effectively and authentically in a dynamic, complex and sometimes-ambiguous environment; exercise good judgment and a measured approach to managing stress
- Note: This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with the flexibility to work from both home and the worksite as per the Letter of Understanding between the City of Edmonton and Civic Service Union 52
- The weekly hours of work for this position are currently under review and may change at a future time. Any changes will be made in accordance with the City of Edmonton/Civic Service Union 52 collective agreement and the incumbent will be notified in advance.
