Reporting to the Senior Portfolio Manager, you’ll work side by side with Project Managers and organizational leaders to drive timelines, deliver high-quality results, and keep workstreams running smoothly.
You’ll play a key role in fostering collaboration, connecting the dots between teams, and ensuring seamless handoffs to operational groups—so great ideas become lasting impact at MCC.

What You’ll Do
- Support Project Managers and Leaders in delivering project plans, schedules, budgets, and communication materials to ensure timely and effective execution.
- Coordinate project meetings and learning activities in collaboration with the Senior Portfolio Manager and project leadership.
- Use project management tools to help monitor working hours, budgets, timelines, and expenditures as needed.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of key project documentation, including tracking tools, roadmaps, integrated plans, risk registers, and dashboards.
- Help coordinate cross-functional teams—internal staff, contractors, and subject matter experts—by scheduling working groups and related meetings.
- Facilitate alignment and collaboration across multiple teams to create a cohesive and efficient project delivery environment.
- Work with project leadership to liaise with MCC’s External Relations & Communications team, ensuring accurate and timely stakeholder messaging.
- Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and briefing materials for internal leadership and external partners such as Health Canada.
What you need to succeed
- Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in project coordination roles.
- Experience assisting with complex, multi-interested party initiatives in a healthcare, education, or public sector environment.
- Experience in training development and delivery projects.
- Experience in a healthcare environment is an asset.
- Familiarity with government-funded programs, particularly related to grants and contribution agreements, is an asset.
- Understanding medical education or health workforce initiatives is an asset.
- Knowledge of project and program delivery methodologies.
- Skilled in engaging interested parties and negotiating meeting timelines and agenda priorities.
- Skilled in facilitating alignment of multiple interrelated projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, and project tracking tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and facilitate meaningful interested party engagement.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong tactical execution and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional judgement and decision-making abilities.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse clients and interested parties.
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in managing changing priorities effectively.
- Degree or diploma in Business administration, education, health administration, or related field
- PMP, PgMP, Agile (e.g., Scrum Master, SAFe), Prince2, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, or Black Belt.
- Advanced oral and written skills in English are required, with oral and written skills in French considered an asset
