The Role

As a Senior Stores Person, your main responsibility will be to take deliveries and manage stock levels within stores & the warehouse. Replenish stock levels and internal stock transfers.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • May help in shipping/receiving and checking all deliveries
  • Ensure all stock is stored in the correct manner
  • Inform supplier(s) and the procurement team, of any stock discrepancies on Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI)
  • Keep inventory management systems up to date
  • Carry out regular inventory counts
  • Pick and deliver products from stores and/or warehouses in compliance with company processes and procedures
  • Operate appropriate equipment to transport materials
  • Organize and deliver goods from the stores to the relevant departments as required
  • Replenish Point Of Use (POU) on the production floor
  • Working with various departments and tool owners, coordinate assets for calibration and preventative Maintenance
  • Creating and maintaining calibration records for measuring equipment
  • Supporting tool owners to reconcile OOT (out-of-tolerance) conditions for critical tools
  • For failed calibration items, follow the company processes and procedures
  • Drives and contributes to continuous improvement by suggesting and/or implementing improvements to safety, costs, eduction in frustrations, etc

Required Skills/ Abilities

  • Training and capability of operating a forklift or other lifting devices
  • Detail orientation
  • Demonstrated time management skills and including multi-tasking.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Works independently with limited supervision, interacting effectively with and quickly gaining the respect and support of facilities and museum staff
  • Interacts with various levels of staff

Education And Experience

  • Secondary school vocational diploma, high school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant experience is an asset
  • Valid credentials
  • Ability to retrieve and enter data using a computer system.
  • Use of production databases.
  • Manual dexterity.

Comments/Special Considerations

Successful candidates must obtain and hold a security clearance at the Reliability Status level and pass the security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.

Salary

The compensation for thie position is $70,387.20 annually.
