Your Key Responsibilities:
- Help Shape the Future of Municipal Infrastructure: Contribute to the design and planning of civil infrastructure projects, including water distribution, wastewater collection and pumping, sanitary sewer systems, and stormwater management facilities;
- Craft with Precision: Assist in developing detailed design drawings and technical documentation using AutoCAD and Civil 3D;
- Collaborate and Innovate: Work alongside senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to refine design concepts, perform engineering calculations, and ensure project specifications meet client needs and regulatory standards;
- Engage On-Site: Participate in site visits and fieldwork, collecting essential data for infrastructure investigations, observing construction activities, and supporting resident observation duties; and
- Support Project Success: Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and tender documents.
- Educational and Professional Credentials: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required, with registration or eligibility for registration with the appropriate Canadian provincial engineering association;
- Experience: This opportunity is open to candidates at all stages of their careers—from recent graduates to seasoned professionals. We’re particularly interested in individuals with experience in water distribution, pump hydraulics, water distribution modelling, or water conveyance engineering. While not required, experience in a consulting environment, especially on civil or municipal infrastructure projects, is a valuable asset;
- Technical/Design Experience: Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, InfraWorks, WaterCAD, and ArcMap;
- Collaborative Communicator: Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively convey technical information and collaborate with project stakeholders;
- Organized and Detail-Oriented: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, maintain attention to detail, with the ability to thrive in a deadline-oriented environment; and
- Team Player: A collaborative mindset and a passion for contributing to a positive team environment.
