Description

Are you ready to shape the future of data analytics and artificial intelligence in Canada's public sector? We're seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to help transform how government, healthcare, education, and utility organizations leverage cloud technology. As a member of our specialist team, you'll partner with Canada's leading public sector organizations to architect and implement transformative AWS Analytics and AI/ML solutions, while driving innovation and adoption of advanced AWS services for large-scale use cases.

In this role, you'll design and architect scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions using AWS's comprehensive Analytics and AI/ML stack. You'll serve as a technical thought leader, providing expert consultation to customers and fellow Solution Architects while creating valuable technical content including white papers, reference architectures, blogs, and implementation guides. Your expertise will be crucial in helping customers navigate complex cloud migrations while optimizing for their specific mission requirements.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in data analytics, AI/ML, and cloud architecture, combined with strong consultative skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences. You should have a track record of successfully leading large-scale technical implementations and a passion for working backwards from customer needs to develop innovative solutions.

Key job responsibilities

  • Be a subject matter expert on AWS Analytics and AI services for our Account teams and customers.
  • Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
  • Provide advanced technical knowledge to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.
  • You will have the technical depth and business experience to deploy data and AI strategies.
  • Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc.
  • Partner with other Specialist teams to define the technical components of best in class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
  • Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate data and AI solutions into customer architectures.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. data warehouse, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
  • 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in analytics and AI experience
  • 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
  • Experience across the Data and Analytics specialty
  • Experience working with end user or developer communities

The base salary for this position ranges from $126,000/year up to $210,400/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
