POSITION SUMMARY

The Account Manager - Sales (Internal Job Title: Pre-Sales Solution Manager) is involved in planning, supporting and tracking major project opportunities. The incumbent carries out market researches, addresses customer requirements and supports business development. The incumbent formulates product solution, strategy and action plans. The incumbent builds trusted advisor relationship with customers, helps Sales team to close major opportunities. This person works with Product Management team and R&D to develop system guidance and documentation, and facilitates internal trainings.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks

• Work with the marketing department to understand and communicate marketing messages to the field

• Determine strategic planning related to new product lines

• Establish organizational policies and procedures in relation to sales

• Lead sales team in building relationships with business clients and manage negotiations of sales contracts

• Organize regional and divisional sales operations

• Plan, direct and evaluate the activities of sales departments in commercial, industrial, wholesale and retail and other establishments

• Recruit, organize, train and manage staff

• Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties and delivery dates

• Represent companies that export and import products or services to and from foreign countries

• Deliver sales presentations

• Develop reports and proposals to illustrate benefits from use of good or service

• Assess client’s needs and resources to recommend the appropriate goods or services

• Resolve product and service related problems

• Review and adapt information regarding product innovations, competitors and market conditions

• Collaborate with specialists to develop programs for clients' special needs

• Provide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit client's needs

• Use sales forecasting software

• Work with customers, architects and engineers regarding plans and specifications

• Identify and solicit potential clients

• Train customers' staff in the operation and maintenance of equipment

• Communicate technical problems, processes and solutions

• Analyze market research data to improve business decisions or activities

• Provide clients with presentations on the benefits and uses of goods or services

• Conduct sales calls
