Supply Chain Professional

Seeking an experienced Supply Chain Professional to support procurement and category management activities for a large organization. This role involves developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and leading procurement projects of low to medium complexity. Strong communication, negotiation, and project management skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement category and sourcing strategies for assigned projects or work packages
- Lead or support RFP development, vendor negotiations, contract awards, and supplier management initiatives
- Provide guidance and advice to business units on sourcing and procurement best practices
- Lead cross-functional evaluation teams and ensure compliance with procurement policies and public sector procurement laws
- Manage large, complex procurement projects with high financial or political risk impacts
- Establish productive relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain function
Must-Have Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in sourcing, category management, or equivalent, preferably in a complex environment of similar size
- Proven ability to lead large, complex procurement projects and negotiations with major vendors
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, project management, planning, and organizational skills
- Solid understanding of contract development, competitive bid laws, and contract law
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Finance, or related field
Assets
- Professional designation such as SCMP, ISM, PMP, CPA, or equivalent
- Enrollment in advanced degree programs (e.g., MBA) or completion of relevant continuing education
- Experience working within crown corporations or government environments

- Security-sensitive position requiring insurance
- Preference for candidates local to Prince George (no candidates requiring relocation travel from other parts of BC will be considered)
