About the Role:

As an Account Associate, you will be a key member of our PR team, contributing to the success of our clients across a variety of industries, particularly in the real estate, technology, non-profit, financial services and healthcare sectors. A strong executor and skilled writer, you secure media coverage in high-impact publications and draft content for a variety of channels. A Day in the Life of an Account Associate

• Write impactful media pitches that quickly communicate why our clients are making an impact in their respective industries
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with journalists and influencers
• Pursue bright ideas and seek solutions – if your pitch hasn’t landed, you’ll lead a discussion about why it may not have worked so that you and the Account Lead can build a plan on how to move forward
• Proactively anticipate the needs of accounts and have the ability to move initiatives forward
• Write clear, concise content and press releases that capture media attention
• Build smart media lists that will make pitching a success
• Help design influencer engagement programs
• Coordinate events and activations when required
• Find and track the coverage secured so we can share the great news with our clients

What you’ll bring

• Minimum of 1-2 years of PR experience, either at an agency or in-house
• Proven track record pitching media to secure media coverage – tell us or share some of your greatest success stories
• Knowledge of the media landscape – we want to hear about what media you’re reading on a daily basis and who your favourite reporters are
• Media and influencer relationships - who do you have strong relationships with
• Strong knowledge or experience in communications or marketing
• Excellent writing skills – the ability to weave current events, policy news, trends and data into insightful content for media consumption
• Exceptional creativity – a great eye for a story, and the ability to come up with creative ways to use communications to engage stakeholders
• Resourcefulness - you always seek to find the answer before turning to a colleague
• Ability to manage priorities and balance a deadline-driven workload with complete accuracy
• Extreme attention to detail – you take pride in the high-quality, client-ready work you produce
• Excellent interpersonal skills – the ability to contribute to a high-performing team environment

The salary range for this role is $55,000 to $70,000, based on experience.
