Junior Accounting Specialist

Jr. Accounting Specialist – 6 months contract

Mississauga, Ontario

Reports to: Finance and Controlling Manager

Location: Mississauga Head Office

• Responsibilities:
• Supporting Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
• Processing weekly payments to vendors (ACH, Wire, Cheque)
• Assisting with the interim and year-end audit
• Performing vendor master data maintenance (create/change)
• Posting and reconciling company credit cards monthly
• Approving expense reports via Concur weekly
• Posting the Concur journal entries weekly
• Posting the payroll journal entries semi-monthly
• Verifying the cheques cashed on RBC daily (Payee Match)
• Other task and responsibilities will be assigned as required
• Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
• Finance / Accounting post-secondary education
• 1-3 years of Finance/Accounting experience preferred
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Familiar with accounting principles and financial statements
