Job Description
- Carry out all operations in compliance with current health, safety, and environmental standardsz
- Ensure the correct selection and use of products (sealant, metallization, anti-corrosive, paint) and tools for assembly, following technical and safety instructions.
- Assemble sub-assemblies and structural assemblies for airframes, including installing bolts, screws, and fittings to secure, support, or hang components, and rivet sub-assemblies, based on manufacturing files.
- Adapt your work to various types of assembly, including large fuselage elements and diverse mechanical components such as hydraulic components, fuel and oxygen supplies, controls, and cabin insulation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate assembly and adjustments.
- Adjust and operate manual or automated machines and tools according to the tasks required, ensuring precision and efficiency.
- Conduct thorough inspections and quality checks to verify that assemblies conform to manufacturing files and quality standards.
- Accurately document inspections, tests, and maintenance procedures, ensuring traceability and maintaining the aircraft's airworthiness record.
- All other related tasks involved in the assembly, maintenance, and repair of aircraft components.
- Must be authorized to work in Canada.
- Employees who must relocate for the position may benefit from initial relocation assistance.
- Technician Diploma in structural assembly or a related field.
- A minimum of 6 months of experience in a similar position within the aerospace industry is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong manual dexterity combined with a solid understanding of technical principles to perform assembly and adjustment operations effectively.
- Ability to follow instructions, apply feedback constructively, and continuously develop skills.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, drills, rivet guns, and specialist precision tools.
- Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work independently while maintaining a proactive approach.
- Familiarity with aviation regulations, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Knowledge of Bombardier procedures is an asset.
- Positive attitude, adaptability to change, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
