As one of our Test & Measurement Sales Engineers/Account Managers, you will be part of a customer-focused team dedicated to maximizing sales through the development of new business and working closely with our existing customers utilizing a solutions-based sales approach. Product categories that enable our customers to succeed include spectrum/signal analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, and communication test systems. We are currently looking for an Account Manager to be based in Calgary and would cover central Canada (Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba) Territory focusing on expanding our business into established and existing accounts and support our existing customers.
Responsibilities
- Understand customer needs and identify how Rohde & Schwarz products can provide technical solutions
- Create new business opportunities and expanding Rohde & Schwarz brand awareness in new and existing customers
- Effectively demonstrate and communicate how Rohde & Schwarz products can best solve the customers measurement/application problems
- Grow the R&S market share and exceed quota
- Develop and manage a strong sales funnel
- Provide input and feedback to product marketing, service and development groups on customer product and application requirements
Qualifications
- Must be a Canadian Citizen
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or similar technical field
- 10+ years technical sales experience, preferably in test industry
- An understanding of current electronic industry technologies (aerospace and defense technologies a plus)
- The ideal candidate will have a passion for selling, an intense focus on customer service, and an overwhelming desire to succeed
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer interface skills
- The ability to travel throughout the territory with some possible out of territory/ international travel.
- Experience in managing large and complex accounts
- An existing and active network of productive relationships within the strategic account
- Account management knowledge and experience selling into large territory and strategic accounts is highly desired
