Registered Practical Nurse
The Glen Stor Dun Lodge, our Municipal long-term care home, is currently recruiting for Registered Practical Nurses (RPN). The Glen Stor Dun Lodge is a non-profit organization governed by the Long Term Care Act of the Province of Ontario and falls under the jurisdiction of the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.
Overview:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Nursing, the Registered Practical Nurse is responsible for providing exceptional care that will attribute to the best health outcome for our residents, maintaining accurate records of nursing observations and procedures performed, ensuring care plans reflect current resident needs and aspirations. Our ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and will promote effective communication with residents, families, visitors, volunteers, students and fellow staff.
Qualifications & Experience:
We are seeking qualified RPNs to provide nursing care and services for residents at Glen Stor Dun Lodge.
Infection prevention and control requirement, as outlined by the O. Reg. 246/22: General under the Fixing long-term care Act, 2021, S.O. 2021, c 39, Sched. 1:
prospective candidates will need to demonstrate screening for tuberculosis and other infectious diseases in accordance with any standard or protocol issued by the Director. This includes DTAP, MMR, Varciella, and Hepatitis B.
Schedule: varies and may change based on operational need.

- Must have a current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- 1 year experience in the Long-Term Care Home sector is preferred.
