Reporting to the Senior Manager, Expertise center and account payable for Accounting Operations, the analyst prioritizes operational tasks performed by unionized staff and resolves issues. They provides support to analysts in the same sector, as well as to users from other departments. They produces reports and dashboards, ensures follow-up, and measures results.

*Temporay role: 12 months*

Responsibilities

Operational Task Management

  • Ensures the operational tasks of the section;
  • Establishes priorities and ensures tasks are completed within the scheduled timeframes. Measures results and performs follow-ups;
  • Validates invoices and supplier creation;
  • Responsible for the implementation and integration of various improvement initiatives within the team;
  • Reviews GL account reconciliations (monthly/quarterly/annually), analyzes, and follows up on necessary corrections.

Dashboards and Various Reports

  • Develops the content of various reports and dashboards;
  • Conducts analyses resulting from the reports and dashboards;
  • Develops action plans for necessary changes.

Resource Person

  • Acts as a resource person by providing support to users from other services and their own service;
  • Offers support to suppliers;
  • Handles AlloFinance requests for their section (assistance requests regarding invoice payments, petty cash, employee fund advances).

Requirements

  • Hold a DEC in accounting or business administration;
  • Have a good knowledge of general accounting;
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in task management, prioritization, and process review in the field of accounts payable accounting and other accounting operations (A combination of academic training and equivalent experience will be considered);
  • Very good knowledge of the MS Office suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/PowerBI) and skills related to accounting operations systems. Knowledge of the Oracle system is an asset.

  • Ability to work in a changing environment. Must be flexible and have strong and demonstrated skills in process improvement;
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills in both official languages;
  • Ability to work under pressure with specific deadlines;
  • Skills in supporting development in a unionized environment; demonstrated coaching abilities;
  • Well-developed organizational sense and demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize operational tasks.
