$110,000 - 150,000 CAD

Responsibilities
- Maintain SQL database containing EIC discipline data for efficient delivery of client standard documents.
- Maintain data connections between the CadWorks drawing files and the SQL database.
- Update SQL database as required to manage the development of the EIC drawings.
- Work closely with CAD drafter/designers.
- Generate output reports to meet client requirements (i.e., PLC I/O lists, data sheets, cable lists, etc.).
- Work with the project electrical engineers to leverage the power of the database to create design deliverables.
- Assist the project electrical engineers with adherence to client standards.
- Design customized Microsoft SQL Databases to meet Electrical and EIC design engineering.
- Select the appropriate toolsets to manage Data Flow.
- Use of Structured Analysis Methodology for design and documentation.
- Proficient in creating Data Flow Diagrams (Main tool of the Structured Analysis).
- Design, create, and test customized interfaces (data entry screens).
- Create user manuals for the customized interfaces developed.
- Lead code development.
- Supervised in-house software development.
- Support users with multiple software applications to ensure smooth integration.
- Supervise database performance.
- Troubleshoot software system issues.
- Perform scheduled machine backups, database backups and project backups.
- Extensive use of ETL (Extraction Transformation and Load) tools.
- Proficient with SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio), SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), and SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
- Performing daily T-SQL coding.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD data structures and their utilization in Metro Vancouver design requirements and standards.
- Proficient in the application of Metro Vancouver Standards in the design workflow.
- Develop SQL application outputs and reports to align with Metro Vancouver approved deliverables.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience with database design, implementation, and management.
- Associate’s degree (or higher) in computer science or computer engineering.
- Proficient with SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio), SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), and SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
- User experience with AutoCAD; proficient with data structures.
- Working knowledge of industrial electrical and control systems and their presentation on engineering documents such as drawings, data sheets, and lists.
