Job Title: Skilled Technician

Reports To: Site Supervisor / Project Coordinator

Position Summary

The Skilled Technician supports site operations by maintaining a clean work environment, assisting with material handling, and performing emergency and reconstruction work. This role ensures high-quality workmanship and follows health, safety, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Professional Conduct

  • Maintain professional appearance and respectful communication with clients, coworkers, and partners
  • Wear appropriate attire, including branded or business casual clothing
  • Be available for emergency response and on-call shifts as needed
  • Represent the company positively and professionally on-site


Operations & Reporting

  • Assist with job site setup, tear-outs, cleanups, installations, and rebuilds
  • Follow job scopes and timelines with attention to quality
  • Document site progress using mobile tools (e.g., DRS, Docusketch)
  • Help organize paperwork, including sign-offs, forms, and job reports
  • Submit weekly KPI reports and any other required updates


Customer Service

  • Communicate clearly with property owners, answering questions or directing to the appropriate team
  • Support building trust with clients and adjusters to encourage referrals and repeat business


Training & Team Support

  • Mentor new crew members as needed
  • Suggest improvements to construction methods within industry standards


Health & Safety

  • Follow Occupational Health & Safety regulations and company policies
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Report hazards, incidents, and near-misses promptly
  • Use safety gear and follow safety procedures at all times


Emergency & Rebuild Tasks

  • Support emergency response: water extraction, containment setup, drywall cutting, demolition, etc.
  • Set up drying equipment and ensure moisture readings are taken and documented
  • Help with contents handling, packing, and disposal as needed
  • Participate in rebuild activities such as painting, flooring, drywall, and repairs
