Koch-Glitsch Canada Field Service provides customers with high quality services including, blinding and deblending work, internal vessel work including vessel and tower repairs, revamps, and replacements. We provide services across the country at various gas plants and refineries, both during scheduled shutdowns and emergency situations as they arise. We are currently hiring Level for upcoming projects.

What Would Be Required In Your Role

  • Working in gas plant and refinery environments.
  • Working at heights.
  • Working in Confined Spaces.
  • Working with and around cranes and rigging.
  • Handling of parts and materials.
  • Identify and properly install trays, packing, grid, feed pipe, distributors, collectors, various column pressure internals.

  • Experience with basic hand tools and various power tools such as grinders, power drills, sawzall, etc.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Previous experience installing mass transfer equipment, including trays, packing, demister pads, distributors etc.
  • Previous experience in industrial or commercial construction
  • Holding a valid apprenticeship or journeyman certificate in pipefitting or welding
  • Two years or more of industrial plant experience in blinding, opening, cleaning, and repair of operating pressure vessels such as towers, reactors, drums, exchangers, heaters.
  • Prior experience working in Confined Spaces.
  • Intermediate level of mechanical knowledge of piping systems
  • Ability to read simple blueprints.
  • Experience blinding and deblending process vessels.
  • First Aid (Level A or C)
  • WHMIS
  • Basic Safety Orientation (OSSA)
  • Other tickets may be considered an asset, please list all tickets when applying.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • The ability to climb stairs and ladders and work at heights.
  • The ability to wear full face respiratory protective equipment training will be required.
  • Must be able to perform work wearing personal protective equipment including but not limited to rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and air purifying respirators, safety harness, FRC coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs and safety glasses, etc.
  • Must be willing and able to meet all company and customer project entry requirements including, but not limited to, specific training and alcohol & drug testing.
  • Ability to work shifts, travel within Canada and be away for extended periods of time. WHO WE ARE
