About The Position
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Management Lead to oversee key product development and launch initiatives within our China operations. This expat role will be pivotal in bridging our manufacturing and R&D teams in China with our commercial organization in the United States. You will manage cross-functional projects from concept through commercialization, ensuring alignment across teams, delivering on timelines, and maintaining quality standards.
Responsibilities
The role is an onsite position, with a 40-hour workweek, based in Hangzhou, China.

About The Position
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Management Lead to oversee key product development and launch initiatives within our China operations. This expat role will be pivotal in bridging our manufacturing and R&D teams in China with our commercial organization in the United States. You will manage cross-functional projects from concept through commercialization, ensuring alignment across teams, delivering on timelines, and maintaining quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project management for new product development, localization, and launches.
- Lead projects of product change and improvements, cost reduction, product launch, logistics plan and many others that require collaborations between China and the US.
- Act as the primary liaison between China-based manufacturing and the US commercial team.
- Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, milestones, deliverables, and risk management strategies.
- Ensure effective communication, reporting, and documentation across all stakeholders.
- Facilitate cross-cultural collaboration, understanding technical, regulatory, and commercial priorities.
- Monitor project performance, proactively identify roadblocks, and implement solutions to stay on track.
- Champion project governance and best practices within the China team.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing and R&D functions as related to project execution.
- Based onsite in China.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; PMP certification preferred.
- 8+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or R&D environment.
- Proven experience in new product development and launch management, ideally for multinational organizations.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, product development cycles, and commercialization workflows.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English;
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment across time zones.
- Previous expatriate experience or international project management experience highly desirable.
- Previous experience to lead the China team and work in Chinese culture.
- Must worked in startups before.
- Worked in hardware or medical device industry. Must have an engineering or manufacturing professional background.
The role is an onsite position, with a 40-hour workweek, based in Hangzhou, China.
