Job Summary
As a member of the employee benefits team, the agent is responsible for responding to calls and emails from employees and managers. They serve as a resource person for all matters related to group insurance and the pension plan.

As a member of the employee benefits team, the agent is responsible for responding to calls and emails from employees and managers. They serve as a resource person for all matters related to group insurance and the pension plan.
Key Accountabilities
- Respond to calls and emails from employees and managers regarding group insurance, disability leaves, and the pension plan within established timelines.
- Validate enrollment or change requests for group insurance or the pension plan and always ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Enter data into the computer system for new employee enrollments and updates to employee coverage related to group insurance or the pension plan.
- Contact employees when information is missing.
- Document requests in a database and consult various systems to gather the relevant information needed to resolve reported issues.
- Process payments received from employees during periods of leave.
- Review and analyze various reports to ensure enrollment in the different plans complies with current rules.
- Review and analyze reports on data entered in various systems to ensure data integrity and meet internal control requirements.
- Analyze inconsistency reports and make necessary corrections.
- Prepare and send various letters related to employee benefits.
- Participate in the development and distribution of occasional communications.
- Produce and analyze various key reports.
- Prepare and send long-term disability forms.
- Act as the main contact person for service providers.
- Calculate and process remittances.
- Process CNESST payment requests for the first 14 days of absence.
- Perform any other related tasks.
- High school diploma;
- A minimum of three (3) to twelve (12) months of relevant experience.
- Strong customer service skills and professionalism in communication and interactions.
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and adherence to procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Knowledge of Excel and Outlook.
- Knowledge of SAP (an asset).
- Bilingualism, both spoken and written (French and English).
