What You’ll Like About This Job

Summit Air is hiring a full-time Heavy Equipment Mechanic based in Vancouver, BC, to maintain and repair aircraft ground support equipment. This hands-on role includes both mechanical work and mentorship of apprentices. Ideal candidates are certified Heavy Duty Mechanics with strong troubleshooting skills and aviation equipment experience.

What You’ll Need

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic
• Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyman certification (preferred)
• Experience in aviation ground support equipment (asset)
• Strong fabrication and diagnostic skills
• Computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
  
  

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Ability to coordinate maintenance solo or in a team
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Knowledge of maintenance tracking systems and vendor management
