The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Field Technical Analyst for a 12-month term to join our Information Technology team. Reporting to the Supervisor, Technology Support, the successful candidate will be responsible for the ongoing support, maintenance, and implementation of desktop, server, and communications environments in ARC’s field locations. The primary responsibility of this position is coordinating field industrial IT activities to ensure ARC Resources’ Industrial IT assets throughout British Columbia and Alberta continue to run with the highest degree of uptime. This position is based out of our Grande Prairie office and will require regular travel to field locations around Grande Prairie, AB and Dawson Creek, BC.

The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Field Technical Analyst for a 12-month term to join our Information Technology team. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule field industrial IT activities with automation and radio network vendors
- Provide project management support for special projects and identify opportunities for improvement in our field desktop, networking and server infrastructure environments
- Be the liaison between network and server team members for field related issues
- Act as the on-site point of contact at ARC's field locations for vendors and the remote teams
- Manage the evergreen hardware replacement schedule for the field industrial computers
- Provide timely response and resolution to service desk inquiries for access and issues pertaining to field assets, including the networking environment
- Log issues and requests through ServiceNow, our service management software
- Manage and track field communications vendor invoices
- A diploma or degree in computer science, business technology management, or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a related position supporting field operations and related infrastructure
- Strong communication and people service skills, with the ability to liaise amongst various people within the business
- Excellent problem-solving skills while working in a fast-paced environment with varying demands
- Ability to follow defined processes and procedures
- Experience with Cisco Networking hardware, wireless and radio networks, supporting Windows Server 2019/2022, and virtual environments including VMWare and Hyper-V is considered an asset
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting oil and gas applications such as Rockwell FactoryTalk View SE and EcoStruxure Geo SCADA Expert, and supporting Windows 11 and iOS devices is considered an asset
- Proficiency with ServiceNow is considered an asset
- Valid driver's license for travel to field locations to support Operations
