We're seeking a Business Development Manager with at least 5 years of experience in the construction industry to lead growth initiatives in the ICI sports flooring sector. This role focuses on building strategic relationships, identifying new opportunities, and supporting project bids in a fast-paced, specialized market.

Description
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the ICI (Industrial, Commercial, Institutional) construction sector
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, general contractors, architects, and industry partners
Lead proposal development and support bid submissions in collaboration with the estimating and project teams
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to promote services and capabilities
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform business strategy
Collaborate with internal teams to align business development goals with project delivery and operational capacity
Maintain a robust pipeline of prospective projects and regularly report on sales activity and progress
Support contract negotiations and assist in closing deals with new and existing clients
Profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably within the ICI sector
- Proven track record in business development, sales, or client relationship management
Post-secondary education in Business, Construction Management, Marketing, or a related field
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
Strategic thinker with the ability to identify market opportunities and drive growth
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM and sales tracking software (e.g., Salesforce) is an asset
Familiarity with project management tools and construction documentation processes
Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational abilities
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client meetings and site visits
Experience or familiarity with any of the following is an asset:
Athletic surfaces
Performing arts flooring
Specialty surfacing
