Description
Lead or support cost estimating efforts on large-scale civil, rail, and structural projects
Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, procurement scopes, and vendor evaluations
Analyze design documents and perform accurate quantity takeoffs
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and subcontractors to ensure complete and competitive bids
Participate in risk assessments, bid reviews, and handover to project execution teams
Assist with clarifications, bonding/insurance requirements, and bid documentation
Profile
Minimum 10 years of experience in civil construction estimating, ideally on large-scale or design-build projects
In-depth knowledge of project delivery models (Design-Build, Lump Sum, GMP, Unit Price, etc.)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess constructability and identify cost risks
Experienced in subcontractor negotiations, procurement strategies, and pricing reviews
Proficiency with estimating software such as Hard Dollar (or equivalent)
