The Challenge

Reporting to the Director of Legal Affairs and Partnerships, the Legal Technician will play a key role in the management, drafting, and coordination of legal documents related to commercial, real estate, and corporate law. This person will serve as a key support across various project phases and will collaborate with multiple internal teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the legal affairs and partnerships team, as well as the investment and financing team
  • Prepare, review, and organize various legal documents in commercial, real estate, and corporate law (agreements, resolutions, leases, commercial contracts, transaction documents, etc.)
  • Support internal divisions (development, financing, partnerships, construction, accounting, leasing, marketing, human resources) with their legal and contractual needs
  • Assemble and monitor legal files related to real estate transactions (acquisitions, financing, sales), incorporations, share purchases/sales, and corporate dissolutions
  • Collaborate with external partners (notaries, lawyers, financial institutions, etc.) involved in projects
  • Collect and compile necessary information from partners, shareholders, and investors
  • Maintain legal databases, develop templates, and enrich the internal precedent bank
  • Ensure smooth and proactive communication between internal teams
  • Perform any other tasks related to legal affairs and partnerships

Required Profile

Education / Experience / Certification
  • Diploma in Legal Techniques (AEC or DEC), or any other relevant education or experience (Bachelor of Law is considered an asset)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in the real estate and corporate sectors within a company (not in a law firm)
  • Experience working in a fast-growing entrepreneurial environment

Skills

  • Excellent command of spoken and written French; English is considered an asset
  • Strong digital skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Miro, Notion, e-signature tools, Dilitrust, etc.)
  • Knowledge of the Registraire des entreprises (REQ) and the Quebec land registry system
  • Solid understanding of real estate, construction, and business law
