Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer Reports to the Continuous Improvement Manager on all matters. The CI Engineer will be responsible for all functions of a production project from start to finish. Work closely with Engineering, Production and Quality on specific project tasks. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Education

Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer Reports to the Continuous Improvement Manager on all matters. The CI Engineer will be responsible for all functions of a production project from start to finish. Work closely with Engineering, Production and Quality on specific project tasks. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Education
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Technology, Industrial or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a CI Engineer or equivalent manufacturing/product development work experience;
- Knowledge of process flow, automation, assembly and production(mid-high volume production operations); and
- Knowledge of customer specific requirements (KATA, SQDCI, PDCA, PFMEA).
- Co-ordinate and maintain physical layout of equipment, materials and storage;
- Maintain accurate throughput calculations for all manufacturing resources;
- Determine cycle times for manufacturing resources;
- Identify bottleneck resources and capacity constraint resources;
- Co-ordinate throughput improvement efforts;
- Assess operator utilization;
- Assess ergonomic conditions and reduce ergonomics stressors;
- Implement continuous improvements and monitor cost savings;
- Maintain key performance indicator charts/graphs;
- Implement error proofing;
- Co-ordinate new business related matters;
- Capacity planning and improvement actions;
- Responsible for the production process from start to finish, updates, revisions, continuous improvements;
- Support production on optimizing equipment utilization and efficiency;
- Work with R&D to launch new products and inform production;
- Document and develop SRED projects; and
- Any other tasks assigned by the CI Manager.
