Job Description

We are currently looking for a Process Engineer to join our team in Guelph. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, hands-on experience in process improvements, and a solid background in manufacturing environments. The Process Engineer will be a key contributor in supporting and executing small to moderately sized projects, particularly in new product introductions, product improvements, and raw material qualification.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Support or lead the execution of small to moderately sized project tasks according to defined timelines.
  • Participate in the technology transfer process for New Product Introduction (NPI), product improvements, and new raw material qualifications.
  • Assist in executing experimental designs, including sample collection, in-process testing, and sample management.
  • Analyze process data to identify opportunities for manufacturing improvements and optimize critical process parameters.
  • Contribute to and lead efforts in Design of Experiments (DOE), process scale-up activities, and validation procedures.
  • Support or lead manufacturing investigations related to deviations, out-of-specification results, stability issues, and customer complaints.
  • Prepare and/or review technical documentation including reports, memos, data summaries, and scientific rationales.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage change control documentation, investigations, CAPAs, and product release data analysis.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 - 6 years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering environment, preferably in pharmaceuticals, biotech, or food industries.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, process troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with DOE methodologies and scale-up processes.
  • Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on-site full-time in Guelph, Ontario.
