Reporting to the Sr. Director, Procurement, you will primarily organize and lead Boralex’s inventory management and indirect procurement wind, storage and solar operational assets and work in strong collaboration with Asset Management team.

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Procurement, you will primarily organize and lead Boralex’s inventory management and indirect procurement wind, storage and solar operational assets and work in strong collaboration with Asset Management team.
Role
You will play an important role in:
- Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels, track stock movements, and implement inventory control measures.
- Indirect Procurement: Manage and oversee indirect procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisition of goods and services.
- Procurement planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of good and services for operational needs
- Cost Control: Monitor and manage procurement costs to stay within budget and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Logistic Support: Support third parties in coordination logistic and custom clearance activities.
- Vehicle Management: Oversee the management of company vehicles, including maintenance schedules.
- Optimization: Analyze operation data to forecast future procurement and inventory needs, adjust stock levels accordingly, implement measures to minimize waste.
- Team Management: Lead and manage a team to achieve high performance and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve issues related to supply chain disruptions, inventory discrepancies, and supplier performance
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve procurement and inventory processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Other duties within the procurement team responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s or Master`s degree in business, engineering or equivalent;
- From 15 years of experience in inventory management and procurement, including minimum 7 years on management positions;
- Ability to analyze data to forecast demand, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions;
- Proven track record of driving cost-efficiency and work-efficiency in procurement and inventory management;
- Strong user of Microsoft Suite and proficiency in using ERP systems (SAP, Maximo and others)
- Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate a team, providing guidance and support
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges and supply chain disruptions;
- Team-player, with ability to work effectively under pressure;
- Bilingual in French and English
- This position includes occasional travel in North America and abroad.
