Corporate Counsel - Contracts Lawyer

Our client, a leading retailer in North America, is seeking a dedicated Corporate Counsel - Contracts Lawyer to join their Commercial & Regulatory group. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative and team-focused environment, offering the chance to engage with various business units across the organisation. The role is full-time and based in Mississauga, with a competitive salary range of $160,000 - $185,000.

What you'll do:

• Draft contracts for various business units including financial services, e-commerce, transportation, marketing, and technology.
• Provide legal advice and support to the organisation's commercial operations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.
• Negotiate and review contractual agreements.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure legal consistency and minimise risk.

What you bring:

• 6 to 10 years of commercial law experience in an in-house legal department or a leading law firm.
• Membership in good standing with the Ontario Law Society.
• Strong business acumen.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to draft complex contracts.
• Experience working collaboratively within a team.
