As a Claims Analytics Manager, you will democratize access to data and insights by leading a team of Data Analysts, Business Analysts and Data Scientist in the development of data and analytics solutions. You will be responsible for developing your team in alignment with our business innovation culture and will be accountable toward the achievement of the team’s service levels in answering requests to support internal claims stakeholders.

How You Will Create Impact

  • Develop and manage performing teams by recruiting, training, coaching, assessing, motivating, and supporting.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, ensuring the development of the technical data analysis skillset (data preparation, analysis & reporting, story telling) expertise.
  • Manage claims analytics projects & operations by setting and communicating goals, measuring progress, addressing issues, and solving problems (including technical problems escalated by your staff).
  • Responsible for the quality and effectiveness of outcomes by ensuring that standards and policies are followed, and the intended outcomes of those policies are met (data quality, accuracy, UX, performance, security, etc.).
  • Represent your team in project planning and scrums with business partners.
  • Translate business needs into specific objectives for your team and communicate progress to stakeholders.

To Join Our Team

  • You have a proven experience (5+ years) in developing and implementing analytical solutions such as data extracts, reports and dashboards and in developing the story & insights from those solutions.
  • You have a University degree in Mathematics, Actuarial, Statistics, Computer Science or other relevant field.
  • You have strong leadership skills with a direct or indirect track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • You have experience in R, SQL or MSTR.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.

  • Extended work hours, in some instances, might be required (including weekends and evenings).
