GBTO provides a reliable, flexible, and efficient Risk & Finance platform and shared market data repository for MARK, RISQ, and DFIN, aiming to:
- Meet GBIS's strategic business needs
- Fulfill regulatory commitments and ensure accurate reporting
- Optimize capital requirements
- Distribute certified data
- Manage and ensure consistency in NPL, market, liquidity, and credit risks, as well as accounting and finance
- Contribute to GBIS's digital transformation
What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?
Functional Developer on the Fixed Income Risk Analysis Application:
- Develop new functionalities requested by the business (Front Office, RISQ, and Financing) within the bank's official risk calculator for interest rate, credit, and foreign exchange products
- Understand customer needs with Business Analysts
- Write technical specifications
- Implement requirements in CH using TDD
- Propose innovative tools to improve user/developer experience
- Share progress and communicate with traders, developers, and quants to enhance technical and functional knowledge
- Validate developments with Business Analysts
- Provide production support
- Ensure Real-Time (RT) indicators (nL, Risks) from the Risk Engine provide the most accurate market position view for traders
- Research and resolve production issues, including analysis of Greeks, Pal, sensitivities, and data availability delays
- Review batch configurations
- Collaborate with front office, RISQ department, and developers
- Work with RT Chapter members to build the target chain vision, including phasing out Excel tools and implementing the One Target user interface
- Share progress and communicate with agile master
- Conduct non-regression campaigns during production releases
- Work with real-time and batch transaction processing system
Profile required
Skills and Qualifications:
Must Have:
- Experience in C# development, Java 8 is a real plus
- A first experience in investment and financing banking or insurance
- Functional knowledge of market finance activities: Pricing, Greeks, VaR, interest rate products (Swaps, FRA, Futures), PnL
- Experience working with databases
- Communication skills: Ability to speak to different profiles (technical, functional, management, support)
- Familiarity with Java code reading (preferred but not required)
