We are presently seeking an Assembly Technician II that will perform tasks to assemble optical, mechanical, electronic components, subassemblies, products or systems.

Position Duties And Responsibilities

  • Performs routine tasks with limited supervision and only requiring supervision on newly assigned tasks.
  • Detail oriented with proven ability to learn new processes and systems.
  • Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as mechanical assembly, soldering, encapsulating, die bonding, wire bonding, cleaning, epoxy, curing, operation of pneumatic machinery, etc.
  • Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases or other packing material.
  • May perform assembly operations under microscope or other magnifying device.
  • Performs inline testing, inspection using measuring instruments, software, fixtures, and electrical test equipment to ensure parts and assemblies meet production standards.
  • Ability to cross train on other programs in the facility.
  • Ability to perform various repair/rework operations using approved written procedures.
  • Follow instructions from electronic or printed assembly processes or electronic test procedures

Qualifications/Requirements

  • At least 1 years to 2 years of electronics assembly experience in a manufacturing
  • Post secondary diploma or certificate in a related discipline
  • Working knowledge of MS Products
  • Ability to read and comprehend work instructions
  • Good written and communication skills
  • Experience working in an ISO9001, 14001, 13485 certified, and/or FDA QSR compliant environment is an asset
