We’re seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team! In this role, you’ll design and develop high-precision mechanical systems for our holographic displays, collaborating closely with optics and electronics teams to bring complex ideas to life. From concept and prototyping to production-ready systems, you’ll have end-to-end ownership of your designs.

We’re seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team! In this role, you’ll design and develop high-precision mechanical systems for our holographic displays, collaborating closely with optics and electronics teams to bring complex ideas to life. From concept and prototyping to production-ready systems, you’ll have end-to-end ownership of your designs.

What You’ll Do
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for holographic display systems from prototype through production.
- Collaborate with optics and electronics engineers to create precise, integrated opto-mechanical structures.
- Develop solutions for thermal and structural challenges related to PCB and component integration.
- Create detailed CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks, including appropriate GD&T specifications.
- Perform simulation and analysis (thermal, vibration, FEA) using tools such as ANSYS to validate designs.
- Select materials and manufacturing methods appropriate for high-precision, low-volume fabrication (CNC, sheet metal, rapid prototyping, etc.).
- Support the building, testing, and refinement of prototypes and production systems.
- Interface with external vendors and suppliers to ensure parts are manufactured to spec and on schedule.
- Maintain design documentation, BOMs, and revisions in SolidWorks PDM.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 2+ years relevant experience
- Strong experience designing precision mechanical systems, preferably with optical or electromechanical integration.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, including PDM and detailed drawing creation with GD&T.
- Experience designing for manufacturability across various processes including CNC machining, 3D printing, and sheet metal.
- Familiarity with FEA or thermal simulation software (ANSYS or similar).
- A proactive, self-motivated approach to problem-solving with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on cross-disciplinary teamwork.
