What you’ll do…

We’re currently looking for an HR Assistant on a 3-month term to support in providing a positive employee experience at EastGen. This role is an exciting opportunity for a current HR student or recent graduate looking to gain practical experience with a great organization!  In this role you will work closely with our Human Resources team across various functions of HR, throughout the employee lifecycle.  This role is eligible for a hybrid working arrangement, with 3-days per week based from our Head office in Guelph, ON.  


Your key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in maintaining employee records and people data
  • Support in the recruitment process (job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling etc.)
  • Organize and coordinate orientation and onboarding sessions
  • Follow up on employee training completion
  • Assist with employee engagement and recognition initiatives
  • Contribute to HR projects and administrative tasks as needed


Who you are:

A proactive, collaborative, and detail oriented early career professional who takes initiative and consistently follows through on your commitments. You maintain a curious mindset and are dedicated to delivering a positive, people-focused experience. Ideally you will bring the following skills and abilities to this role:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • Fluent in English with proven effective communication skills (oral and written)
  • Working knowledge in Excel, Word, PPT and Outlook
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Well developed relationship building abilities
