We are based in Winnipeg and Thompson, Manitoba as well as Sioux Lookout, Timmins, Thunder Bay, and Toronto Ontario. We provide scheduled passenger and freight services to Northern Manitoba and Northern Ontario, 24/7 North American charter services, Medical evacuation services and a full-service maintenance facility including design engineering, NDT, and Garrett turbine engine services.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Chief Pilot, the 705 First Officer transports thousands of passengers each year. As a pilot, your number one priority is to conduct each flight safely, taking into consideration the comfort of each passenger and on-time performance.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Conduct flights with strict adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures, Canadian Aviation Regulations, Aircraft Flight Manual, and the Company Operations Manual
  • Assist the PIC in the management and operation of the flight, including participation in the execution of all cockpit procedures
  • Fuel the airplane
  • Provide a thorough pre-flight/post flight airplane inspection on behalf of the Captain
  • Carry out take-offs and landings under the authority of the PIC
  • Focus on flying skills and knowledge improvement with the intention of one day being ready to assume a Captain position
  • Load, unload and secure cargo and freight as required
  • Continue to meet and exceed the Transport Canada Qualification standards for a Pilot
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Education, Experience and Certifications
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent
  • Commercial Pilot License (CPL) & Individual Aero plane Type Rating - Aero plane (IATRA) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL)
  • 500 Hours Total Flight Time
  • Category 1 Medical
  • Current Group 1 Instrument Rating
  • Pilots must be fluent in English, and be able to demonstrate effective verbal and listening comprehension
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations
  • Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset
Working Conditions
  • Physically able to perform all listed job duties
  • Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role
  • Work performed both indoors and outdoors; employee must be able to adapt to all outdoor weather conditions
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
