Your Key Responsibilities

  • Process and coordinate imported merchandise ensuring compliance with federal import regulations
  • Process exported merchandise ensuring compliance with federal export regulations. Pro-cessing export documentation as required by country specific requirements and export controls.
  • Support country and regional Customs Operation team as required or requested, including but not limited to, producing and distributing various imports/exports related statistical and summary reports, Customs related activities and internal financial reporting including anti-dumping and duty reports.
  • Maintain shipment information, entry documentation files, preference files, etc. required to meet Customs regulatory requirements for such documentation
  • Support, contribute, improve processes related to Customs Operations
  • Support and implement country standardized processes and organization
  • Support Customs related projects and implementations
  • Alignment of goals and tasks with manager to ensure applicable qualification as defined in qualification matrix
  • Support and adherence to local, regional and global KPIs
  • Communicate effectively with all team members consistent with company procedures and

  • Comply with safe work practices: report unsafe working conditions, review any safety issues, implement corrective actions for safety and report all first aid incidents
  • Adherence to Environmental Management System guidelines, legal compliance, minimizing environmental impact, pursuing preventative measures
  • Comply with work standards, identify opportunities for quality improvements, and report quality incidents

Your Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Logistics or Engineering or customs-related field or equivalent qualification with demonstrated competency
  • Experience in import and export customs compliance, control processes and procedures
  • Project implementation experience including change management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and able to prioritize
  • Strong analytical problem solving and decision- making skills
  • Knowledge of and application of customs regulations to the import and export process
  • Understanding of product tariff classification and understanding of related duty applications
  • Experience in managing external customs broker and logistics service providers
  • Understanding of processes related to inventory management
  • Experience in Lean Management and Continuous Improvement methodology
  • Intercultural experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience in ERP system, preferable SAP
  • Fluency in English
