About The Position

RWDI is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) to work closely with leaders and employees in designated business units/ regional entities. The role serves as a consultant to leaders on human resource-related issues and acts as an employee champion and change agent. The role collaborates to build capabilities, plan and manage talent, provide strategic insight, and develop HR strategies that support and align with organizational goals. The role will also provide subject matter expertise in specific HR functions to drive HR excellence and process improvement.

This role will report to the Director, Human Resources.

Business Partnership

The role includes but is not limited to:

  • Partner with company leaders to understand objectives and provide strategic HR support.
  • Maintain confidentiality and build trust with stakeholders.
  • Ensure employee accessibility, gather feedback, and enhance satisfaction and organizational culture.
  • Implement HR programs and strategies.
  • Build collaborative relationships to align HR expertise with organizational goals.
  • Address inquiries from leaders and employees, identify patterns, and manage routine inquiries outside the Business Partner's scope.


Talent Acquisition

  • Collaborate on talent acquisition and management; strategize staffing needs, develop job profiles, and set hiring timelines.
  • Support relocation and immigration efforts.


Talent Retention

  • Collaborate with Business Units to assess resource needs and enhance organizational development, training, total rewards, and recognition.
  • Coach/ support leaders on succession and development plans, along with performance improvement.
  • Suggest/Implement solutions to boost employee engagement and retention, increasing productivity and fostering an inclusive culture.
  • Manage exit interviews, providing analysis to address areas of concern.


Operational Processes

  • Implement HR policies and processes for compliance and effectiveness.
  • Support the annual performance management process.
  • Assist with engagement, wellness, recognition, and culture programs.
  • Facilitate change management initiatives and report on effectiveness.
  • Serve as HR Lead for Mergers and Acquisitions.


Metrics & Analysis

  • Utilize reports and dashboards to analyze HR metrics and performance, recommending strategies to meet goals.


Performs other related duties as assigned.

We are accepting applications from candidates with the following qualifications:

  • University Degree in Business Administration and/or Human Resource Management, along with 7+ years of progressive HR experience
  • US experience is required
  • CHRL designation is preferred
  • Ability to align with and promote the organization's values and strategic plans.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of laws, employment standards, human rights, HR practices, theories, and trends in Canada and United States.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, influence change, and effectively coach others.
  • Strategic thinker capable of aligning HR solutions with business needs.
  • Customer-focused, proactive problem-solver with excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • High integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
