Description

Position Summary:

As an Electronic Production Technician, you will be responsible for the production, assembly, testing, and quality control of various electronic assemblies used in ENTEGRA's advanced pipeline inspection tools. Your role will ensure the efficient and accurate manufacturing of high-quality products, adhering to industry standards and company procedures. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve production processes, maintain safety standards, and contribute to the overall success of the production department.

Responsibilities

Follow procedures to perform assembly and wiring of electronic parts and assemblies:

Electronic Assembly

Follow detailed work instructions and blueprints to perform the assembly, wiring, and integration of electronic parts and components. This includes through-hole and surface-mount components, wiring harnesses, and printed circuit boards (PCBs).

Testing & Troubleshooting

Utilize meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic tools to test electronic assemblies, identify issues, and ensure compliance with specifications. Record and maintain test data for quality control and analysis.

Hand Soldering

Perform soldering of electronic components following IPC standards (including IPC-A-610 and IPC J-STD-001). Perform both manual and automated soldering processes for small, intricate parts.

Quality Control

Conduct visual and functional inspections of assemblies and finished products to verify compliance with ENTEGRA's quality standards. Document findings and provide feedback to the engineering team when necessary.

Documentation

Prepare and maintain accurate production logs, test reports, and inspection documents. Ensure all procedures and results are properly documented for compliance and traceability purposes.

Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot issues and suggest process improvements.

Cross-Department Collaboration

Work closely with engineers, designers, and quality control teams to resolve technical challenges, implement design modifications, and ensure seamless integration of electronics into ENTEGRA's products.

Safety And Compliance

Adhere to workplace safety protocols, ensuring all tools and equipment are used properly. Comply with relevant industry regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.

Additional Duties

Support other departments as required, including maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of production equipment. Be flexible to adapt to changing production demands and new technology. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings. Experience in assembling and testing electronic circuits and components.
  • Test Equipment: Hands-on experience with testing and troubleshooting using meters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Soldering Skills: Proven ability to hand solder small components to IPC standards, including surface-mount devices (SMD) and through-hole components.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with production teams, engineers, and other departments. Willingness to assist others as needed to meet production goals.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring precise assembly, documentation, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Adaptability: Ability to learn new technologies, tools, and processes as the company grows and evolves. Flexibility to shift between tasks based on production needs.
