Due to our ongoing organic growth, we are currently seeking a qualified permanent full-time Inventory Specialist to join our Supply Chain team in Calgary, Alberta. The Inventory Specialist shall provide the ability to interact with staff in a fast paced environment, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role.
Responsibilities:
Work Environment / Physical Demands:
100% shop environment. Position requires ability to walk throughout warehouse/shop/stock yard area. Heavy lifting is required - 50 lbs.

The Inventory Specialist shall provide the ability to interact with staff in a fast paced environment, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, process, and put away inbound material stock orders from both domestic and international shipments and/or material orders;
- Pull and verify outbound material stock orders for shipment;
- Support Shop Operations in material stock checks with all details accurately recorded and transmitted;
- Resolve problems that may arise concerning material stock inventory levels by interacting with Shipping or Inventory Coordinators as well as internal customers;
- Place orders for stock replacements to maintain optimal inventory levels;
- Pull parts from inventory and issue as requested to include final posting of goods in SAP;
- Utilize reports available in SAP to determine stock needs and place orders accordingly;
- Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory system accuracy;
- Process unused project issued materials and return-to-stock via SAP;
- Process change requests in ROSEN Ordering and provide updated date to arrive (TDA) to requestor;
- Keep warehouse, shop, and stockyard clean and organized using [5S] approach;
- Perform other special projects as directed by management.

Qualification or Skills:
- 3 + years of inventory experience in a fast-paced, professional, customer service driven team environment is required;
- Experience in oil and gas, manufacturing, automotive or related industry is preferred;
- High School Diploma is required - Post-secondary education is an asset;
- Superior organizational skills - the ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities and changes with professionalism;
- Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal) are required – ability to receive and communicate technical information accurately and timely;
- Strong computer and software skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and ability to learn proprietary Supply Chain related software with ease;
- Must be able to proactively problem-solve;
- Must be able to operate forklift and other warehouse equipment;
- Highly motivated to contribute to team goals and objects and able to work independently;
- Ability to work flexible full time hours as well as overtime (evening/weekend) based on business needs;
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
