About the workplace
As a Senior Specialist, Member Communications, this role plans, manages, and optimizes day-to-day member communications to ensure members are prepared to adopt product and service changes. It requires strong project ownership, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and a passion for delivering impactful, member-centric content.
This is an 18-month contract that will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. This role may require you to work in-office at least once a week.
A typical day would involve:
- Lead the end-to-end design and deployment of member communication plans that support readiness for product, service, and operational changes.
- Develop and execute member communications that support line of business growth, product primacy, and strategic initiatives.
- Serve as a stakeholder for Marketing requirements in cross-functional initiatives; provide planning, communication, and measurement expertise from a member-first perspective.
- Use member and product insights to refine audience targeting and value propositions, ensuring the right message reaches the right person at the right time.
- Lead or contribute to the development and ongoing enhancement of communication measurement tools, templates, and campaign reporting processes.
- Champion continuous improvement by capturing and applying learnings across projects, including documenting benchmarks and best practices.
- Maintain high standards of content quality and clarity, applying a thoughtful and inclusive lens to messaging across multiple channels.
- Coordinate and deliver digital learning content through the Learning Hub and other member education tools to support adoption of new services.
- Work with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support timely updates to vancity.com and related platforms.
- Contribute to operational excellence by using tools like Asana and SharePoint to streamline workflows and documentation.
- Actively participate in DEIR learning and apply values-based thinking to all aspects of work.
- Commit to continuous development around Vancity’s products, services, and communication channels.

You Have:
- A university degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, or Business.
- Proficiency in project management.
- Experience managing communication programs.
- The ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on insights. Experience using tools such as Google Analytics and PowerBI are a bonus!
- 5–6 years of experience in marketing, communications, or business operations.
The Team:
In this role, you will report to the Marketing Manager, Marketing Services, and work closely with a dynamic team of specialists to deliver meaningful, timely communications to our members.

The salary range for this role is $71,500 to $107,300 annually. Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
