Terminal Operator

Agilus is recruiting for a Terminal Operator in the oil & gas industry in Port Moody/Vancouver, British Columbia.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties relative to the maintenance, repair and operation of the facility. May be required to assist maintenance personnel with repairs to electrical and mechanical equipment on the systems.
• Participates in after-hours callout to troubleshoot as the need arises and for operational and mechanical issues and emergency response.
• Assists and supports the Site Manager by participating in assessments, inspections, and initiatives as required.
• Assists with the completion of all site assigned tasks in compliance with PDM procedures.
• Provides direction, training and mentoring to junior employees and contractors
• Responds to breakdown and equipment failures as required
• Contributes to budget preparation and cost reporting. Supports site management in assessing staffing requirements based on experience and forecasted demands.
• Demonstrates the ability to perform and coordinate functions related to: o Rail Operations (safety sensitive) o Marine Operations (safety sensitive) o Pipeline Receipts (safety sensitive) o Lube Operations o Weigh scale Operations o Truck Operations o Tank Farm Operations o Aviation Operations o Technical Journey Entry Level applicable for Terminal operations
  
  

Successful Candidates Will Have

• In depth knowledge of measurement practices
• Strong computer skills including Excel and Word.
• Excellent understanding of product quality requirements
• Secondary/ High School Diploma or college level degree or equivalent work experience required
• Minimum 100% of assigned Stage 3 Training per GMT Standards
• Experience as a Terminal Operator
• Extensive knowledge of the applicable rules, regulations and standards for the operation
• Valid Driver’s License
  
  

Total Rewards

• $46.11 hourly
• 12 months contract position
• Work Schedule: 3 days on / 3 days off
