What You'll Do
As a Facility Operator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the school’s physical environment is welcoming, functional, and safe. You’ll work closely with the principal, lead caretaker, and facilities team to plan and carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks and facility improvements.

What You'll Do
As a Facility Operator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the school’s physical environment is welcoming, functional, and safe. You’ll work closely with the principal, lead caretaker, and facilities team to plan and carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks and facility improvements.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Overseeing HVAC operations and maintenance, including diagnosing and calibrating systems
- Performing daily inspections of the building’s exterior and reporting required repairs
- Completing minor equipment repairs and maintenance on cleaning machinery
- Supporting grounds care, including snow removal, grass cutting, and litter control
- Assisting with setup for school events, particularly in the gymnasium
- Collaborating on long-term planning for building operations and safety

You’re Also
- A relationship-builder with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working independently, yet collaborative when needed
- Safety-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement
- In possession of a valid driver’s license
- Valid Fifth Class Power Engineer’s Certificate
- Demonstrated experience in HVAC and refrigeration system operation and maintenance
- WHMIS Certification
- General carpentry skills are considered an asset
- Starting wage of $24.29/hour
