Skid Steer Operator

REgroup, a division of The Municipal Group of Companies, is an Environmental Services company that services the HRM. For over 20 years, the REgroup has been providing integrated waste collection, management, and recycling services. We are currently looking for a Skidsteer Operator to join our team based out of our Halifax, NS location. The hours of operation of this position are 3 days on and 4 days off, 6am to 8pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate skid steer machinery in a safe and efficient manner
• Perform daily equipment checks and report any maintenance needs
• Load, move, and spread materials
• Follow site safety procedures and protocols
• Assist with manual labor tasks when required
• Work as part of a team
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating skid steers or similar equipment
• Valid driver’s license (Class 5)
• Safety-conscious with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and job site environments
• Experience in construction or a warehouse environment is considered an asset
• Certification in small equipment operation or heavy equipment operation is considered an asset
  
  

Working Conditions: This position will be lifting, pulling, and managing medium heavy (up to 55lbs) equipment and objects, requiring the use of PPE, Hardhat, and Steel Toe Boots to minimize the risk on the worksite.
