LaPrairie Group of Companies is looking for a Credit Card Administrator to join its team in downtown Calgary, Alberta.

The Credit Card Administrator facilitates full-cycle credit card reconciliation duties for LAPRAIRIE's business units Entrec Alberta, LaPrairie Crane & Northland Fleet Services, and provides back-up support to LAPRAIRIE's accounts payable teams.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate credit card orders and cancellations and related cardholder onboarding / offboarding.
  • Assist with fraudulent charge procedures.
  • Assist with ensuring cardholder compliance with credit card related policies.
  • Communicate daily with field staff and off-site administrators.
  • Send out weekly and monthly transaction statements to designated contacts.
  • Collect and code transaction receipts from cardholders. Post coding into accounting system, Explorer Eclipse.
  • Maintain credit card related files and accounting back-up in an organized manner.
  • Act as a secondary administrator within online commercial credit card program - including setting up employees and providing training to designated administrators.
  • Apply temporary credit card limit increases upon Management approval.
  • Create various reports related to credit card purchasing for Management review.
  • Issue Purchase Orders for applicable credit card purchases in a timely manner.
  • Complete full-cycle accounts payable duties as requested: review purchase orders (POs), review and post invoices, ensure proper coding, reconcile monthly vendor statements and process payments (via cheque / EFT / ACH).
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Other related duties.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of credit card administration, accounts payable or accounting experience.
  • Degree, diploma or certification related to accounting, accounts payable or business is an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable interacting with Senior Management on a regular basis and assisting with the enforcement of applicable policies.
  • Strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.).
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills.
  • Able to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to work in a team setting, together with other LAPRAIRIE business units.
  • Working understanding of job costing is an asset.

This is an in-office role, remote / hybrid opportunities are not being offered.
