The City of Edmonton is looking for an Industrial Growth Hub Analyst to lead the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of programs and services aimed at supporting the expansion and success of industrial businesses. This role, reporting to the Industrial Growth Hub Program Manager, will contribute to the Industrial Growth Hub's advancement through the development of processes and practices in areas such as strategy, policy and business planning; performance management; risk management and change management.

Salary Range: $50.105 - $62.836 Hourly $88,272.48 - $110,701.32 Annually

What will you do?
- Support the Program Manager in the development and delivery of projects and programs in the industrial growth hub, including but not limited to:
- Assisting in coordinating site visits, setting up meetings, maintaining investment attraction data and assistance in the development of proposals, templates and tools to support investment attraction and business expansion and retention
- Leading and supporting Industrial Growth Hub service delivery improvement projects
- Supporting the review and approval of industrial marketing efforts to promote Edmonton’s industrial activities globally
- Define the project plans/goals, objectives and planned deliverables including planning, scheduling, resourcing, risk assessment, cost/benefit analyses, and change management under the leadership of the operational area
- Leading and reviewing industrial economic data analysis, and recommending/supporting strategies to attract, retain, and foster industrial growth within the City
- Ensure compliance with procurement, project management, process, and all other City policies, procedures and directives
- Manage relationships with internal and external partners to support operational functions with the Industrial Growth Hub
- Support the creation of strategic policy and recommending policy changes to improve the investment environment
- Monitor and communicate progress towards program goals, objectives and project progress against program/project requirements, quality measures, standards, processes, and milestones and prepare progress reports as needed
- Track key performance indicators related to industrial business support, investment attraction and industrial growth on a quarterly basis
- Contribute to and develop management briefings, reports and presentations on industrial economic metrics for various audiences
- Apply a GBA+ lens to all section strategy, policy, and research activities
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Urban Planning, Marketing or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience within a municipal or private industry setting, leading economic development, industrial land use planning and development, marketing and strategic business planning and implementation
- Business Analysis, Project Management, Change Management or Economic Development related credentials and certifications
- Demonstrated experience in public and/or private sector to understand complex economic development issues and gaps and the ability to implement actions to resolve them
- Experience working with industrial stakeholders in the Edmonton Region
- Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of industrial sectors, including municipal industrial growth, competitive pressures, key issues, and economic forecasts
- Detailed knowledge of policy development and practices and their potential impact on local industrial businesses
- Possesses strong business analysis, project management skills including change management, risk management, performance measurement, policy development, business case development, strategic and business planning, with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects effectively
- Exhibits strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and utilize data to inform decision-making
- Possess a deep understanding of performance planning, monitoring, reporting, evaluation, documentation, and improvement efforts
- Demonstrates proven leadership ability, with the capacity to initiate, execute, and oversee initiatives
- Knowledge of municipal, provincial and federal economic and environmental policies and strategies
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze situations, identify solutions, and implement effective strategies
- Strong oral, writing and presentation skills to influence and inform leadership decision making
- Possesses strong creative thinking skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions and approaches to challenges
- Significant skill and ability with Google applications (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Gmail, etc.)

- The successful candidate will be required to provide their own vehicle for City use and where appropriate, may be reimbursed according to City policy; this may require the successful applicant to obtain auto business use insurance
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License (or provincial equivalent)
- Hire is dependent on a Criminal Records Check (CRC) security clearance that is satisfactory to the City of Edmonton and is a requirement of this position. There may be a cost associated with this requirement
- The weekly hours of work for this position are currently under review and may change at a future time. Any changes will be made in accordance with the City of Edmonton/Civic Service Union 52 collective agreement and the incumbent will be notified in advance
- This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with the flexibility to work from both home and the worksite as per the Letter of Understanding between the City of Edmonton and Civic Service Union 52
